- MCT-BAH-LHR return, October 2014. Gulf Air is not the worst and by far nowhere near the best airline in the region. Expect delays with no explanation as to why on all legs. Also, on shorthaul flights (A320/321), you'll find decent seat pitch of up to 34 inches in Economy, while on the A330s (especially the updated ones), you'll find that trimmed back to an excruciating 31 inches, which is entirely unacceptable on a long-haul flight. Gulf Air also likes to save and scrimp on service - the BAH-LHR flight featured only 1 meal service, no ear plugs or comfort kit and a second round of beverages only upon request. Food quality is generally good, although presentation is mediocre at best. Cabin service is spotty on all flights, never consistent, much like their definition and understanding of communications and punctuality. A cut above the miserable Etihad Economy ("Coral") experience and that of EgyptAir, but definitely a so-so airline at best. Luggage was returned damaged after both long-haul legs, too.

- Terrible airline. Went Maracaibo-Panama and back, the flight was about 8 hours delayed going and 6 hours delayed on the return. All other passengers I spoke with had had the same experience so it seems that several hours of delay is the rule and not the exception. The airplanes are old and not well kept and on the return flight I had no space for my legs - my knees were literally squeezed into the seat in front of me. Arriving to Maracaibo the airplane made some strange moves that scared me and I fly quite a lot so I know that those were not normal moves. Avoid this airline if you can! And if you can't and need a connecting flight, allow at least 12 hours or more between flights if you don't want to lose your connecting flights!

- I flew Thai business class with my family from Sydney to Zurich. I found the airline at best a little better then average. I will say that the food was of good quality and lots of it. The drinks were in abundant supply. However the planes are were old. My seat electronics were not working. Can I imagine paying business class fares and having too manually adjust the position . The entertainment system is very outdated. The TV screen is standard definition and scratched. The upholstery is tearing and thin. If seated in one position the seat is thin and the padding has lost form do I started developing pressure pain. The seats do not recline completely.At best it's 150 deg. So slowly you start to slide down as u sleep. So eventually u wake up to reposition yourself. The cabin crew is helpful but they can only work with what they are given to work with. I think Thai airways needs to buy new planes or at least update there business class.

- Not reliable, very bad! The first time I had a ticket with this company, due to malfunction our flight was delayed for more than 24 hours. The second time, in September, once the a/c on the plane started working, a dark and smelly smoke started coming out from the a/c vents. We had to disembark and wait for more than 6 hours for a replacement plane. Thank God it happened before take-off. I hope that it's was the last time I had to fly with this company.

- Had a positive experience with CMA flying from Kelowna to Prince George. On time, pilots were courteous, and it was neat to be able to see out the front of the aircraft when landing.

- I totally agree with Eric. Though the crew was nice and trying to do their best, the aircraft is not comfortable and not appropriate to such a flight as Fortaleza-Lisbon... And above all, for a person stressed by flying such as me, the plane was not provided with music and film devices. It is really long without any movie or music to listen. Tap was saying that it would provide equivalent services but it was not true.

- I took this airline now several times from Kinshasa to Matadi or INGA and was always fully satisfied with keeping the time schedule, the aircraft equipment, the ground and flight staff as well as the offered catering.

- Zürich - San Antonio TX, via Philadelphia, round trip. - I first booked my US Airways flight via onetravel.com. I authorised payment by credit card online - and got an instant confirmation that was 388 dollars more than what I had authorised! This, onetravel later claimed, was due to an increase in the flight's price during the booking procedure. I managed to cancel my reservation and to book elsewhere. As I am a journalist, I contacted the US Airways press office, to find out what their position on the fraudulent practices of that sales' agent of theirs is. US Airways refused to answer my questions and their representative also refused to give me her name. After 30 years in journalism, that was a first. - As for the actual flights: UW Airways ground staff appeared not to work for an airline, but for Homeland Security. They were incredibly rude. - The flights safety briefing of passengers from San Antonio to Philadelphia consisted of "check the safety instructions in your seat pocket". I doubt that this conform to the legal requirements. - The onboard food was meagre and barely edible. On the flights Zurich - Philadelphia and Philadelphia - Zurich, staff disappeared for six hours. No drinks were offered during that time. I had to look for staff (who seemed to be having a good time) and beg for a bit of water. - Entertainment: There were no games available; movies were shown on big screens. On the way to the USA, the headphone socket was broken, and on the way back, all three headphones I was given to try were broken too. Therefore, no inflight entertainment. - I do not intend to ever fly with this airline again!
Sichuan Airlines

- I was flying from Kunming to Chongqing to Beijing to San Francisco. All on Air China except my flight from Kunming to Chongqing, which was on Sichuan Airlines. Their computer had an error saying my passport number was a mess of symbols, and to call my ticketer to fix it. I was two hours early and my ticketer was open 24/7 so they re-entered the same 'correct' number it in time. Their computer still showed an error. I had to rebook with another airline to make my next leg, which wasn't cheap. I had no problems with my passport number on Air China. This clearly was their computer's problem communicating with my ticketer's. If you are an international traveler booking on other sites, I do not recommend Sichuan Airlines. Also I can not find a US/English website or phone number for them.

- The airplane was great, the pilots exceptional. I bought a one way no stop ticket from Tambor to San Jose airport taking 25 minutes, enough time to check in for my return flight home to San Fransisco. Just before boarding, the pilot told us that we would be making an extra stop. The extra stop added one hour and 20 minutes to our already 25 minute flight. They attempted to land but couldn't due to weather, then landed somewhere else, waited for the call to try to land again, and then returned to the location to land and pick up 9 more passengers. By the time I got to San Jose we had missed our plane. If we had gone from Tambor to San Jose we would have arrived with plenty of time to check in and board. This extra stop by Nature Air cost us another $400 in change fees with Aviancia, and hotel and food cost. Not to mention the disappointment of not being able to return home as planned and the problems that caused. I tried to deal with the company but they continually spoke to issues that were not relevant and never to their error in inserting another location I did not pay for plan for. Poor business practices to say the least.

I have tried the phone number on this page and the numbers listed on their website the message comes back that the number does not exist on the global network. I have tried e-mail to their e-mail address listed for Lagos and Enugu on their website. Both messages were returned as not sent.

- Travel time between Moscow and Izhevsk is listed as 2 hrs but often you will arrive sooner, sometimes significantly sooner as in 30 mins ahead of schedule - which is pretty good. Go for an aisle seat as window seats have the slight discomfort of a titling ceiling (designed that way) Food on board, good and very generous when you compare to economy class portions on the big airlines in the world for trips of 2 hrs (in fact many/most airlines won't even offer you a meal for such a short flight time) Full meal, drinks, desert etc etc. Very good. Overall highly recommended. If you book in advance as of 2014 return Moscow - Izhevsk prices are about ˆ120.

- I booked a flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad for departing from Mumbai 9.40 am on Apil 9, 2014 thinking that it was a 9.40 pm flight.I realized my mistake when I tried to check in at the airport at 8.20 pm. The Check-in lady politely pointed it out and advised me that the girl at another counter would be able to help me out with the least possible financial loss. When I went to the other counter, the lady (Steffi) said I had to pay the full fare and said the other lady was ignorant. When I insisted on talking to the Supervisor, she insisted that even he could not do anything. When I met the Supervisor, he told Steffi a way to mitigate my loss by 50%. Steffi reluctantly obeyed his instructions and allotted me and my friend in the last row, though there were vacant seats in the middle. I give the airlines a low rating for employing people like Steffi at the front desk and give a higher rating for employing people like the Supervisor and the lady at the Check in counter.

- My plan was to go to Colombo 2 weeks ago from Delhi. To my big surprise though when arriving to the airport in time with a confirmed ticket, me and my partner found out when we were checking in at Delhi airport that Sri Lanka Airlines had overbooked the flight and denied us involuntarily to board...so no trip for us. I have not yet received any refund or compensation and I wonder primarily, how many else have a similar experience with this airline which is not obviously respecting their customers nor laws or international policies? Violating a contract, not following international standards, and not following up with a customer that involuntarily missed one's trip just shows that Sri Lanka Airlines can not really deliver on smooth journeys.

- I have flown several regional low-cost carriers in the past few years (Air Asia, Jet Star, and Air Do that I can recall), and Tiger Air was far and away the best. The ground staff and flight attendants were friendly and courteous, and everything went smoothly. The meal was very small and a little disappointing, but such is airline food. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a meal. The flight was from Singapore to Phnom Penh. A big bonus for me was the fact that we boarded from an actual gate, rather than having to take a bus to the plane or walk across the tarmac, as is commonly the case with low-cost airlines (at least in Asia).

- Huge disappointment for Korongo Airlines! Poor service, poor communication! Bought a ticket from Johannesburg to Lubumbashi. Flight delayed 3 times, without giving customers any reason!! No compensation, no hotel, not even a discount. I do not live in Africa, but I do business here, therefore I lost a lot of money! Not flying with this airline anymore. My vote for Korongo Airlines - ZERO.

- Having become a fan of Virgin America, we decided to give Virgin Atlantic a try on a recent flight to London. Across the brand, the experience is the same and alway superb! We were able to obtain their lowest fare Upper Class tickets for the same price as an economy fare on United Airlines. Best lie flat seats in the industry. They give you a "sleep suit" on the night flights. Food is superior to any airline. Their afternoon flights even feature tea service complete with finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, and of course, tea! No complaints. We'll be back.

- I love Virgin America. I was a United Airlines Million Miler until their merger with Continental. Now UAL treats me like crap. Flying with Virgin is a very civilizing experience. Flowers at the check in counter. Staff that acts like they want you to be their customer. Flight attendants who are happy to see you and who look and dress like they like their jobs. Fares are competitive. Seats are by far the most comfortable of all. Their seat back in-flight entertainment system RED is the best bar none and allows you to pre-order and pay for food and drink. The food is far better than you can get on United. Also very happy with their frequent flyer program and ability to get upgrades. Have permanently switched from United to Virgin.

- Awful Aegean experience (Heathrow to Athens, 22nd December 2013): Hand-luggage with just two laptops (one of them half size) is overweight for Aegean airlines. Just one hand-luggage bought especially for cabin use and used in others budget airlines with no problem. They made me to empty it twice! For a ticket bought 9 months ago at a price of £420 for a flight equivalent to 3:40 hours!!! The flight was delayed an hour. I manage to get my connection to Mytilini, which was also with the same airline. Aegean has monopolised the local aviation. The time scheduling is such that it doesn't work to take another airline to Athens and then get aegean for the local trip.

- Beyond poor airline. I have been flying since I was 6 and JetBlue is by FAR the worst airline I have ever flown with including international flights. Not only were both flights delayed but so were both connecting flights with very little information given on what the hold up was for. When I tried to get assistance from the staff they talked themselves in circles about everything that had nothing to do with my questions and then told me there was nothing they could do in any capacity to make things any easier. Very poor costumer service, very poor airline run by incompetent people. Do not fly with JetBlue the hassle is hardly worth the couple bucks you might save.

- Very poor service. I booked a seat on their 21 December 2013 Flight No.OG112 from Donetsk to Kiev on 10 December (4 days ago). Just received a two line email from them this morning stating that the flight has been cancelled for 'commercial reasons'. I'm not impressed, as they state in the email I have to contact their Ukraine call centre, from the UK, to chase a refund - what a pain! I certainly won't be booking anymore flights with this airline in the future.

- I flew last week from Dubai to Kabul and found Safi airways to be one of the best airlines I have flown In comparison to many us and Middle East airlines. The crew were international and very professional and the flight deck was also American (captain) and I was surprised they raffled a free ticket on board. I flew biz class and the food was excellent.

- Pethetic is probably the only word that one can use to dicribe how Senegal Airlines treats thier Clients. 6 out of 11 flights booked and paid for but they just never inform one of there changes thus your on your own to get your connecting flight sorted out..

- This is the worst airline ever! Look for another airline unless you want to get stuck at the airport for hrs or risk getting to your final destination a few days late. The fleet of airplane that Meridiana uses are old and the service is extremely poor.

- I was travelling with Corendon having booked the flight scheduled in a specific time..The actual time of the flight was different and i was not informed by mail or phone or anything.. The seats are too small that my feet being a woman was difficult to fit on the seat and the seats were dirty.. For paying more than 150 i do not find a reason why i should choose again Corendon..

- Staff was really friendly (but I mean reaaallly friendly and all smiles all the time), flights were on time, the plane was really pretty and comfortable (I mean, if you`re not a spoiled brat- you have enough leg room, you have screens with sitcoms and cartoons and comfortable seats), overall I don`t have much to complain about. I don`t particularly like flying but felt pretty safe flying with them.

- This was my first and last flight with Cyprus Airways. I flew from London Heathrow to Larnaka. The plane was old and scary. Food was of the worst kind. We didn’t even know what we were eating. The staff was the worst in the world: bad attitude, indifferent, unresponsive, grumpy, and rude. It seems like the company just gathered some people from the streets and put them on the plane with no training. Their excess baggage fee was double, tripe, or more than three times than what other airlines were charging at the time. It was close to impossible to find a company employee to talk to when I arrived in Larnaka. When I finally spotted one, she was very indifferent to my complaints. When I asked for a customer support phone number she said that they don’t have one because it was too costly. It is a shame that this airline is the national carrier of such a great country as Cyprus. It damages the tourism to the beautiful island. It should be closed down or sold to another airline.

- Worse airline, kept us waiting 6 hours with minimal information, then told us another plane was on the way and would take another 6 hours at 7 pm. Unable to take a refund and book alternative flights because they told us so late, they gave us a pork chop and salad at a cheap cafe, we got in at 3am I stead of 3pm, tired then next day and lost a nights accommodation because travel insurance will cover because you have not missed the entire days accommodation. Staff where rude and not helpful, I will never fly with them again and I'm sure the other 100 passangers won't either
