I flew into Wellington with Singapore Airlines and will do so again soon. A truly great experience all round. A wonderful scenic approach to a wonderful Capital city worth visiting. Airport and Airline have my vote.

Our airplane had a technical issue on the Moscow-Singapore (Airbus 350 SQ361 dep 3/01/17) leg on the journey to Australia. Passengers were kept inside of the airplane for 6 hours while the airplane was remaining on the ground in Moscow airport. SQ did not arrange return of passengers back to the terminal. Neither hot meal was served onboard (this might have breached russian law by the way) only a pack of chips within 6 hours. Crew provided little and infrequent information. Some passengers panicked and disembarked. We missed our connecting flight to Sydney and had to spend an extra 9 hours waiting for the next flight. As a result of the delay I was supposed to go to work straight from the airport after 38 hours of the prolonged joureney. I asked the airline to upgrade me so that I at least I could arrive in a better shape. I expected a "premium" airline to take steps to at least partly rectify their fault. However, Singapore's airlines acted as a budget airline. They suggested to do it for an extra payment despite having spare seats. The airline asked me to write a detailed letter describing what happend. I spent my time and did that. In return I received a standard email with apologies.

I am very surprised to read any thing negative about Singapore Airlines. I have flown with many other carriers around the world, both in Economy and Business Class and I always come back to SIA. I fly regularly, every six weeks or so, with SIA between Australia and Asia and my experience with them has been nothing but fantastic. The ground crew and the flight crew treat each passenger with respect and warm courtesy and do every thing possible to make the flight comfortable and enjoyable. And Changi airport, what can one say except that this is the best airport in the world in which to transit. Well done SIA.

Very good service, but some of the planes are old and worn

Worse airline ever, been flying for years and its first time ny backage has been lost! I am left with no clothes or belongings, I have nothing of mine and it has ruined mine and my wife's honeymoon. Bali airport are useless keep telling us they are looking for the bag, this isn't good enough at all. I will never ever use Singapore airline and will be making an official complaint, if my bagged doesn't arrive by tomorrow I will be spreading the news on social media and possibly further

Beware the stopover in Singapore with this airline. Our family flew to Laos with Singapore airlines and my husband returned home directly for work. Our 3 teenagers and myself stayed in Singapore for 4 nights on the way back. We were charged $437.50 PER PERSON i.e. $1750 for this. On repeated enquiry to the airline the only explanation that was given was that the flights were a different code. Departure tax was mentioned, with more asking as to why this charge, but this amounts to about $30 per person. I would expect a national airline to be encouraging passengers to stop and spend money in their country not penalise them to do so We won't be flying this airline again

All good things must come to an end. SIA once WAS the leading prestigious airline, one of the best in the world, but now is totally the opposite. i had a few incidents with them, but because there are limited flights that travels fr om Surabaya to Perth, i was forced to buy the ridiculous SQ fare. Honestly, ive been trying to forgive them, but i could not. Everything fr om top to bottom is terrible and getting worse. They have a customer service phone numbers but noone pick up the call. They only reply by email, which could be anyone from the middle east countries. i sent a concern feedback to them, hoping they would chnage, but for 2 weeks, not even a pre format template reply was sent to my inbox, They usually provide fast response and well mannered but those traits are a thing of the past. Have anyone taste the flight meal recently? They even lim it the amount of drinks you could get. It feels like you are flying on a budget airline. ohhh, do not forget those cocky stewardess attitude, definitely a false advertisement. Last but not least, the in flight entertainment seems does not change for the last decade. Same screen, same joystick, lim ited music and games collection, worn out earphones, smelly blankets, and dirty food tray. We pay more for getting less, thats how they shall advertise it next time. If i can trade my SQ mileage for chewing gums, i would do it in a heartbeat.
