Airbus A380 - the Largest Passenger Aircraft in the World

Future has come
Since October 2007 the largest passenger aircraft Airbus A380 has been operating on the route Singapore - Sydney by Singapore Airlines. At the beginning of 2008 this airline got the second A380 and in the nearest future the plane will serve the flights Singapore - London.

The giant airliner A380 will soon appear in other international carriers and will start to fly between continents connecting the largest airports of Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. Emirates, Lufthansa, Qantas, Air France, Malaysia Airlines, Thai Airways, Virgin Atlantic and others have firm orders on Airbus A380.

Home comfort
The creation of the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus A380 can carry 555 passengers in standard three-class (first, business, economy) configuration and up to 700 people in only economy class cabin for the distance of 15 000 km.

Double-deck interior of A380 is an example of the highest comfort during a flight. The airliner has sleeping cabins for the first class passengers, chair-beds for business class passengers and highly equipped seats for economy class passengers.

Immense dimensions of the aircraft give the opportunity to place the stairs between the main and upper decks, relaxation areas and bars on board the plane.

Huge size
Airbus A380 is the largest aircraft both by dimensions and by weight parametres. The length of the plane is 73 m, the height is 24 m, the wing-span is 80 m, the wing space is 845 m2, the take-off weight is 560 tons. The air giant has 4 powerful Rolls-Royce Trent 970 engines 3 metres in diametre each. Further planes will also have American engines Engine Alliance GP7200.
