Simply stated, Ukraine International Airlines is the worst company that I've used in my life. The prices are ridiculous, and paying a lot doesn't guarantee having a decent food and good quality of the service.

My flight from Heraklion to Kiev on August 21,2011 was 10 hours delayed. During the whole 10-hour waiting period, the airline contacted the passengers once to inform them that there was a technical problem with the plane. We never received any further information regarding the nature of this technical problem. While in the airport, we were offered one meal, after which the airline representative disappeared, and was never seen again and never answered our phone calls. No airport announcements regarding our situation were provided except for one at around 10 pm informing the passengers they had to go back through the passport control and into the departure zone before midnight. By 12 am, all the passengers were back to the departure area. None of us, even passengers travelling with small children, was offered any other meals, means of communication, hotel accommodation, or any information about what was happening to the flight and when it was scheduled to leave. The airline crew did show up at about 3.10 am without giving any explanations regarding the delay, and finally the boarding started. Upon arrival in Kiev, we immediately contacted the airline representative to file a complaint, but she stated that we were not entitled to any kind of compensation and were free to start legal action against the airline if we believed we could succeed.
