While traveling from Los Angeles to Istanbul, I had a chance to relax at the Business Lounge and even enjoy a massage. once on board I covered myself with a blanket on the fully flat seat and slept without interruption.I didn’t even notice crossing the ocean. The only choice for those seeking real comfort.
Very bad experience with Turkish airlines. They lost my bags, and refuse to provide any financial compensation. Even after going through the long process of declaring items in my luggage that Turkish airlines threw away, I still have not heard from any date for my compensation; it's going on two years. I do not recommend Turkish airlines to anyone. My case will be going to court, to expose Turkish airline for treating customers very poorly!!

Disappointed with Turkish Airlines’ refund delays and restrictive policies, which created unexpected financial burdens. Poor communication made resolution difficult.
As women, we felt the lack of service was discriminatory, adding to the challenges we faced. This trip aimed to highlight Turkey’s medical excellence and promote international organ donation through Legacy of Life: The Cheri & Jennifer Kidney Initiative, but these issues severely hindered our efforts.
While the airline offers great routes and in-flight service, customer support needs urgent improvement. Transparency, responsiveness, and fair treatment are essential.
The airport ground staff has 0 knowledge regarding No Names in Given name fields. I had prior emailed their support and Chicago/Detroit offices regarding I don't have a first name only last name. However at the DTW they lied about TSA not accepting my name on the boarding pass, even the sales officer named Fatima had lied about name change to be limited to only three chars, another team lead told its 3 chars allowed. However they're website does not mention this at all. All in all I had to talk to the TSA supervisor myself and she told me everything looks fine and I should be allowed boarding pass and after that only they issued the boarding pass
Essentially they wanted me to pay again for another full price ticket. I believe this is worst Airline ever with even a more pathetic support staff who has no clue about their own policies and procedures. I highly ask everyone to avoid flying with Turkish Airlines.
TK denied boarding without any explanation for my minor son flying alone from Vancouver to Baku via Istanbul returning home for holidays on 17.12.2024. No help from airport TK personnel, no explanation, no rebooking, no accommodation provided despite on the fact that he is alone traveling minor having even no legal right to book a hotel.
I canceled my return ticket in December 2024 with Turkish Airlines due to a plan change by the airline and asked for a full refund, but the refund was considerably less than the amount mentioned by Turkish Airlines. When I sent a complaint, they said they had sent the correct money as mentioned on the site, but there was about 40% less money deposited to my account!
The food menus are very diverse, I think it is admirable that the menus are prepared by including health problems and special diets.
Generally, flying is a bit challenging for families with children, but whenever I fly with Turkish Airlines, the difficulty is minimised. We were very happy with the services they offered for children. The food options were wide and the attitude of the staff towards the children was very friendly, so the children quickly adapted to the environment.
I always arrive at the airport 2 or 3 hours before the flight as stated in the messages. After checking in, I sat in the lounge. There was a variety of food on the open buffet. I had a real feast. Their service was also very good.
It was a pleasant and comfortable trip. I loved the food, it was better than I expected. Beverage options were already very diverse. There were all kinds of beverages and spirits. It was also very nice that the cabin crew was friendly and courteous.

It was a pleasant and comfortable journey. The variety of food and other treats were very nice. It was also satisfying to receive timely and attentive service.
We had a nice and enjoyable flight. There was no problem or wait at check-in. We only had hand luggage anyway, so we took that with us. It was a short 2-3 day holiday. The flight was very enjoyable. We were in economy class, even though it was a short flight, we bought a snack. It was delicious and beautiful.
This is update/follow up feedback on Turkish airlines. My initial encounter with their customer service was negative, however, they transferred me to feedback team, ie the team who deal with the actual problems, and they were incredibly helpful! I am impressed, because previously the customer care team were telling me that changing or cancelling flights for medical reasons were not allowed, but these guys after seeing my doctors letter said they could reschedule my flights for when I wanted with no issue! They were really helpful, and polite throughout the call. Aysel from feedback team, and Elena from customer services were both really amazing! Thank you so much Turkish airlines, you have wonderful staff!!
Turkish airlines rules are a bit backwards. If you want to inform them that you want to cancel your ticket, they won’t use it as beneficial, ie they can sell that ticket and make money on it again, but they will charge you for not flying and losing your money by adding a fine!! I don’t get who would come up with such rules, where the company actually not losing the money but the customer is, yet they charge the customer again for not using their ticket and informing them about not using it! Just shows that people who run this airlines might lack in intellect. Customer service is not helpful, they have an autocratic approach with a dictatorship attitude. Will never use them again. Avoid if you can

Turkish Airline is becoming a fraud. On a ticket without change fee and no fare difference they invented for any flight between now and next year that is 330 days the same fraud to try to charge an extra 200 euros for not described fees and another 150 euros for additional taxes which do not exist. As a business customer avoid this airline by all means.

My mother was with me and she cannot take long walks. Istanbul airport is also very big and it is very difficult for my mother to walk to the plane. I was looking for a staff member to help me when someone came to me in a car used inside the airport and offered to help. I really liked how helpful they were.

Yes, no ticket changes online are possible. The support hotline keeps lying and saying, you could use the app, but the mobile app, too, doesn't allow changes of flights. I cannot even log in... This is the case since October. They're not assuming their responsibilities and the hotline is more than unhelpful. If anyone is thinking class-action lawsuit, let me know, please.
We went on a mini vacation with friends and both our flight and our holiday went very well. It was very nice to get into the holiday mood right from the plane. They were really good at service and did everything they could.

What is wrong with Turkish Airlines website and app. Trying to buy multi city ticket. Select all the flight and it gives the price 1871 GBP. But when go to pay, it says “sorry these are outdated prices” and won’t let me proceed to payment. When I called the airline, the price they quoted for these same flight is 6500 GBP. Almost 5 thousand pounds more! It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen! What is going on?

The employees are all trained to not give any compensation, and know that 99 percent of passengers will never sue them.
This is an official policy at TA.
They even have official quotes on their screens they use to all costumers lol

It's funny because all employees usually speak terrible English, but use the same few lines!
Even if an employee wants to help, they can't!
This is really because at their top management level they figured out the best way to deal with all claims, and trained each employee to have basically zero power.
Turkish airlines is the worst they lost my laggage from Istanbul when l arrived in South africa my laggage was missing l immeditely reported that was 29 july 2023 but till now they neva responded. Icall the Turkish agent everday they say no response from Turkish airlines and lam on vaccation need to go back to work its now over amonth they are still not saying anything
Worst airline I have ever traveled with.
Out of 4 trips in the same week to and from London from Cairo, the number of trips the was on time is ZERO.
First trip was late for 2 hours, I lost my next one, they managed to get me on another plane and of course everything was complicated afterwards.
Flight attendant was so rude that I asked him for a cup of water and he gave it to me very angrily looking to the other side!!!
Moreover, on the last trip of my sad 4 ones, my ticket didn’t have a number as the plane was OVERBOOKED, they managed to find a seat LATER to me!!!!
Finally, this was my first and last experience with Turkish airlines, hopefully this review helps anyone.
They lost my baggage, thankfully I got it back after three days of stressing over it. Now it's been over a month in waiting to get compensation for essential items I had to buy, terrible unreachable customer service, no empathy, no explanation just something like "we're sorry you're having this problem".
I just wish it would be solved and I can forget this issue but looks like they like to stretch simple things and not take responsibility for their messed up logistics. Not a pleasant experience for sure. The most frustrating part is that customer service is not reachable, you have to text some FB groups for the help desk, then after five wrong tries of contacting them, someone hopefully gives a link to the correct contact, just unbelievable how such a big air-company can have so poor systems and user experience. Most likely will avoid this in future.
I do not understand all these bad reviews about Turkish Airlines. We have been using Turkish Airlines now for many many years without 1 single problem. Flights are on time, staff is always polite very friendly, the food is great, you have an interactive monitor to watch movies and listen to music.

On the 28 of March my wife's flight from Jakarta to Madrid was cancelled , at that time my wife explained to Turkish airlines Staff that she will loose the flight Madrid to Porto with a different airlines
They reschedule for the 29, (and as you all can see in the attached photo) , they provided Porto as final destination.
My wife arrived this morning in Madrid and they denied her boarding.
On top of that they lost her luggage, they say is in Porto
How you can send a luggage of someone and at same time tell to that same person she doesn't have a flight ticket?
How safe and reliable they are send a luggage without a Passenger?
Also attached the luggage tag proving that her final destination was Porto
I contacted several times the costumer support, they said they escalated, to the management with higher priority.
Already 9 hours passed by and they didn't say anything.
