From Kiev to Moscow with Ukraine International Airlines

On September the 6th, 2012 it was planned to fly from Kiev to Moscow. The choice of carriers was rather wide, but I’ve chosen Ukraine International Airlines. This carrier provides the cheapest tickets (for lower price you have to change a plane in Riga). The take-off was up to the schedule at 6.55.

The airport, Kiev, Borispol

We arrived to the airport at 4.30 sharp. The Ukrainian Int. Airlines fly from terminal F.

The checking-in started in about 15 minutes at the nearest stands 1-5. Later one more stand, the 6th one opened.

Having entered the terminal we faced a huge queue at the Lufthansa airlines agency. The flight to Frankfurt had been delayed for 6 hours and 40 minutes.

My acquaintance had to travel with that flight. She had to change the plane in Frankfurt to some town in Quebec (Canada). But she was told to fly to Munich and make there a transfer in 4 minutes. In case they were late they were told to fly anyway they wished!

The lounge is nice, there are shops and duty-free as well. The only drawback is the absence of advertising.

The plane is rather well-attended. It’s obvious that some reconstruction had been made.

The carpets are new.

You can notice that the coverings of the seats had been changed, everything had been renewed. But some parts of the covering and some other things are assembled improperly.

These were the spaces between the seats, not very beautiful.

Each arm of the seat was equipped with the ash-tray. Probably they were left by the previous carrier – the owner of this aircraft.

The toilette is clean and tidy. The only thing I disliked was the clogged sink.

The stewardesses were friendly, the take-off and the landing were excellent.

There was the Panorama magazine for entertainment.

In conclusion: I enjoyed the flight with Ukraine International Airlines. Thanks to them, especially for their price.
