I was scheduled to travel on Silk Air Mi491 leaving Thrirunanthapuram on Sunday 13th March at 22.45. When I arrived at the airport I found that the flight had been cancelled some time previously and that the message had not got to me. I was naturally worried, both about getting home and what I would do that evening. A lady called Dhanya arrived to look after me and I cannot praise her highly enough. She reassured me, organised a flight from another airport for the next day, transport to that airport and a hotel for the night. She was polite, professional and an extremely helpful person to have around in this situation. I only wish all airline representatives I come into contact with were of the same standard as Dhanya. I cannot find an email address to send this information to, so I hope someone at the airline reads this message.
I am a frequent traveller using silkair for the last 10 years.received excellent service. but yesterday I was travelling from Adelaide to trivandrum which I felt
very uncomfortable. the service from the cabin crew was very disappointing.didn't' have patience to check weather the passenger has understood the matter.everything in a hurry.
Another problem was with food.The quality of the food has really come down.very shocking.
May be by misunderstanding they did not give me the afternoon refreshment,when I asked for their answer was food over ,only some pizza leftout .never I had such an experience from any of the various airlines I travelled so far.I request the authorities to go through such reviews and dothe needful because people like me who are very aged are frequent travellers since our children are settled in different parts of the world.
SIN-HKT-SIN, Economy. Flight was not full, so we had lots of space. Boarding went quickly at Changi Airport, Terminal 2. We were offered two hot meal choices and the tray was full of nice food. Drinks were served and we had full bar service. This leg was on time. On the return leg, flight was full, due to Bangkok Airport closure. Check was divided for passengers with confirmed reservation for this flight and for passengers on waitlist or later flights who wanted to take this flight. So they managed the cue well and check in was perfect done. But once again, boarding in Phuket was efficient and we took of about 10 minutes late, but we arrived at Changi on time. Crew was very polite and we had two hot meal choices and full bar service. During the flight we were informed about departure times at Changi Airport for onward flights. I wish that kind of service would be in Europe.
Singapore to Langkawi and the flight was very nice, Check in staff and crew very nice. Crew helped you find the seat, handed out news paper, blankets and pillows on request. They were friendly and even for this 1 hour and 20 min flight served a light snack and drinks.
