a group of 6 flew SAS airlines from Copenhagen to Chicago. Our flight was cancelled. The only contact we had with SAS was on the info board at the assigned gate. NO ONE real person was ever there to help us. Their APP was down also, or they blocked us because they KNEW the flight was going to be cancelled. There were Security guards at the gate, and they said they did not know why they were asked to be there. Anyway after 6 hours waiting in the airport, we were told to go downstairs to get vouchers for food and hotels. WE STOOD IN THAT LINE for over 2 hours! only to be told there were no vouchers or hotels left and we were on our own. We found our own hotel, took a taxi there and back, and had dinner at that hotel. Now SAS is refusing to reimburse us our expenses because we shared a taxi and only have one receipt for the 6 of us, and they want individual receipts. I guess we should have each taken a separate taxi!. We booked 3 hotel rooms through Booking.com at once and have one receipt for the 3 rooms. Again, SAS is refusing to reimburse us because we do not have individual receipts for each of us. SAS is the worst airline, DO NOT believe anything they say. We each paid extra for seat assignments when booking our original flights. Since that first flight was cancelled, we missed our connecting flights, and now they will not reimburse us for the seat assignment s either because we MISSED THOSE Flights. Well, it was THEIR fault we missed them. We are out over $350 each for hotel, transportation, meals and seat assignment charges. Plus we ended up flying instead of Copenhagen direct to Chicago on Saturday, we went Copenhagen to Amsterdam to Dublin to Chicago the next day! I will NEVER fly SAS again and you should beware!

We have been using SAS airlines several times/year since three years, both us and our son who lives in Sweden.
In the last booking(two tickets from Copenhagen to Pisa for 16th July 2024) I realized that both tickets were under my husband's name. I called the Help Center: it took the assistant 30 seconds to change the second passenger's name, but I was requested to pay 65 Euros! This is simply a theft. And please do not comment by saying 'It is the informatic system'. I do believe that this is a scandalous practice.

Absolutely no sign of respect for passengers and for passengers time, incredible delay, ridiculous motivation, no information during hours of delay at the flight was cancelled and the passengers were due to collect their luggage and were abandoned in the airport with no information. I think the only things they (SAS) would understand is do not buy their tickets and leave them close down

We use this airline on Dec 26 from oslo to hongkong... we have very bad expereince because of the delayed departure from copenhagen so we have delayed arrival in hongkong as well...thats the reason we didnt get our flight from manila to cebu on dec 28 10pm soppose to be...the worse thing is some agent from SAS pick up us in arrival in hongkong and guide us to check in going to bangkok....extremly very bad fligh..we are staying in bangkok for many hours before the morning come so that we can check in again going to Manila...

SAS were excellent. Really professional and helpful. I flew Heathrow-Årlanda and then Arlanda-Luleå. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent (for once).

Having taken two trips with this airline, I will have to say that the trip over, I found to be one of the worst I have ever taken! It was a midday flight, traveling with a family of four, the two being teenagers, I think paying over 1000eu from Athens to Copenhagen and then having to pay for a meal on board is a disgrace! I have never encountered that on any other airline, having flown extensively the whole world over, the stewardesses were very cold, overaged and rude, they didn't even offer us the free tea or coffee that should have been offered, and the carrier was really old too!
The trip back on the other hand, was totally different, this was an early morning flight with male only stewards attending to our needs- we were offered tea or coffee or both, and they happily came to freshen our cups when we were done! Maybe SAS should up their game and see how other airlines work- we should have chosen Aegean! Never again!
