Buenos Aires to Porto Alegre (Brazil) with change of planes in Montevideo. Check-in staff in Buenos Aires very unhelpful, even though I was travelling alone with two children and a baby. Had to ask sales desk for new print of e-ticket as check-in desk alleged that we had not purchased tickets, having told us beforehand that we had seats reserved only for the second flight. How on earth we would get to Montevideo to take that flight is anyone's guess. Then the plane was delayed for two hours, which seems to be an everyday occurrence. We were transferred to another flight four hours later, by Brazilian airlines Tam, as we were going to miss our connection in Montevideo. One of our three luggages was lost in this transfer, never to be found. To add insult to injury, it took many trips to the airport and many phone calls to get them to produce a lost luggage form. Very incompetent and very unhelpful. Having travelled with many airlines over many years, would not recommend Pluna to anyone. Never seen anything like it.

With a brand new Bombardier CRJ-900NG fleet PLUNA is a very convenient choice when travelliing in the southern South America region. Very good prices on tickets through their web page flypluna.com and a lot of code share agreements with other airlines provide passengers the chance to visit Uruguay and the region through PLUNA.

Buenos Aires (Aeroparque) to Punta del Este and return. The flight to PDP left at 12:30 and we were served a hot ham and cheese sandwich , along with a beverage service. Fr om PDP to AEP,our flight left at 500PM and we were served an ice cream snack, along with a beverage service. Both flights are short (45 minutes). On the return, Boeing 737-200 was full and yet 4 FA's managed to do the service with a smile. Due to a snowstorm, the flights fr om EZE to JFK were cancelled and American Airlines re-booked me to JFK via Dallas on American Airlines. In contrast to PLUNA, on a three hour flight fr om DFW to JFK, leaving at lunchtime, AA only served offered beverages (I ended with a cup of coffee and a small glass of ginger ale). No food was offered at all. On the PLUNA flights, FAs' were young and enthusiastic whereas on the American flights were all tired looking.

Buenos Aires - Sao Paolo roundtrip via Montevideo. Very convenient flights from Buenos Aires Aeroparque (domestic + regional airport). New Bombardier CJ900, modern equipment. Purchased Premium Pass ($50) which included free baggage allowance, VIP lounge and first row seat. Decent snack and attentive crew.
