Kolkata-Bengaluru flight. The only Indian airline having tv. Hot meals were served and staff was courteous.

Bangalore-Calcutta-Bagdogra (for Darjeeling). A very early morning check-in found bright and welcoming Kingfisher staff offering plenty of assistance. Boarding and the flight were accomplished efficiently and courteously, with willing cabin crew and good food and refreshments. At Calcutta we were provided transport directly across the tarmac to our connecting flight to Bagdogra but regrettably the aircraft was found to have a technical problem which prevented it from leaving. Nevertheless, despite being clearly under pressure in the circumstances but turning disaster into triumph, the Kingfisher staff could not have been more helpful in arranging a flight with Air Deccan some three hours later, ensuring that our luggage was transfered directly to the Air Deccan flight, providing us with a meal and escorting us to and from the Air Deccan check-in desk to ensure that we received our new boarding passes safely. Overall an outstanding performance and at just over Ј100 to fly almost from one end of India to the other.
