The flight was really good overall with very little turbulence. Food was good too. There is one thing I want to highlight and I hope the authorities consider it and take it into their notice. The picture attached above of the aeroplane AIRBUS A321 shows that there was a small opening in the plane ceiling of one of front row seats, the rubber was slightly detached compared to other sides. If we look closely a lot of wires and other parts were actually visible. Maybe it is not an issue but for safety precautions kindly take notice and if there is any mechanical fault/problem please check it and fix it. Thankyou.
Never fly with it!
I have booked online at August suppose to fly on September from Erbil to Berlin at the airport they told me there is no flight all has been suspended, i have lost 1000 euro because they did not inform me inadvance, now they do not want to pay my money back!!
The worst airline i ever met!!
Never do the mistake i did
The worst of the worst. My flight (London Gatwick to Baghdad) was cancelled and if I didn't check few days before it was due I wouldn't have known because no one was bothered to contact me in any way. I have managed to get through to an agent in London and I was told they can't help as the ticket was purchased directly from the Iraqi Airlines website, their advice was to contact the airlines head office in Baghdad directly. I have called and written to them number of times but the phones are switched off or unavailable and there is no replay on email.
No one knows how to get a refund...
Iraqi airline ; it was my first and the very last time to fly with them. the cabin crew are mostly old people and very rude . it seems they are the old air military government workers who are employed as a cabin crew, that means no experience in customer service . to them there is no different between ; young, old,a child, or a disable person..... they are just nasty to every one X
I have travelled on many different airlines, Iraqi airlines being the worst. the service was terrible, the air stewardess "barked" at the passengers rather then speak. Found the crew very prejuidce, unhelpful, intimitading, aggressive and not diverse friendly.
It was a terrible experience and trumatisng for the young children who were on the flight as the children were allocated seats away from their parents and the stewadress did not help for the family to be seated together.
I travelled on 4th April on flight no IA237.
I would very much like the stewardess who was on that flight to be repremanded on her behaviour and sent to a diversity and customer service course if she wants to keep her job.
The same attitude was of the crew on the way back to London.
Rotten to the core. This airline has reached absolute bottom in terms of customer service; also their planes are not well maintained, filthy and appear to be falling apart. Their crew don't bother with any pre-departure safety announcements, and they do not stop people using their mobile phones in flight. Moreover, they are frequently late or even cancel flights outright. In a nutshell, they are nothing but a typical symptom of the endemic corruption in Iraq. Right now some of their passengers have been stuck in Jedda airport for more than six days and they don't even provide them with any accommodation.
