Terrible customer service! They lie, they have arrogant attitude, they mislead the customer on purpose so that they can squeeze out more money from the customer.
They hid from you information when i purchased the ticket. as a result, i could not fly and when i asked for alternatives, again they didn't give me the full information. when i finally wanted to use the ticket again, they tried to squeeze out of me double the money. ultimately, after arguing with them on the phone for an hour, they agreed to give me a voucher the next day (because the flight is in another week) and the next day i only received a thank you letter for requesting voucher and notification that it will take up to a month for the voucher to be ready.
Awful Aegean experience (Heathrow to Athens, 22nd December 2013): Hand-luggage with just two laptops (one of them half size) is overweight for Aegean airlines. Just one hand-luggage bought especially for cabin use and used in others budget airlines with no problem. They made me to empty it twice! For a ticket bought 9 months ago at a price of £420 for a flight equivalent to 3:40 hours!!! The flight was delayed an hour. I manage to get my connection to Mytilini, which was also with the same airline. Aegean has monopolised the local aviation. The time scheduling is such that it doesn't work to take another airline to Athens and then get aegean for the local trip.
I have flown with aegean both domestically within greece, and to other european destinations from Athens. The flight attendants are always most friendly, beautiful and helpful, the flights punctual, you always get a good and filling meal on board whatever the time, and their prices are also very good. I would recommend anyone traveling to and from Greece to check them out!
