Nowadays SCAT airlines undoubtedly take the second position on the Kazakhstan air market. The fleet is being increased by the most safe and comfortable aircrafts. Much attention is paid to the service level - here are comfortable seats, high quality food, polite personnel, etc.
I flew with SCAT in the June of 2012 (29.06.2012). The seasonal flight from Astana to Antalya was made on board of Boeing-757 with hull No LY-FLG. Departure was from Astana airport Terminal 1, with arrival to Antalya airport Terminal 1.

The former terminal now is used only for the Heads of States and the first persons of the country.
The international airport in Astana was constructed under the plan of the architect Kisho Kurokawa experienced in the airports construction – beginning from Kuala-Lumpur and ending with Astana.
The new airport is up-to-date, tiny, technically supported, designed in pleasant green.
It’s comfortable and pleasant inside the building.
Checking in and boarding is organized in the specially enclosed area of the airport.
The lounge is very cozy and spacious. There’s a great number of cafes, soft arm-chairs, low prices in Duty Free shops – on the whole, everything’s comfortable.
The majority of planes in the Astana airport belong to Air Astana airline.
We left Astana without any delay, just up to the schedule. Boeing 757 is being prepared for the flight.

SCAT Airlines uses the following type of planes (see the picture below).
These aircrafts have only one service class (the economy class).
There are spacious shelves for hand luggage above the seats in the cabin of the plane.
The service of the SCAT Airlines includes the take-off candies, beverages and hot dishes. The issue of the “ASPAN” magazine is available in the back of each seat.
To be continued about the food (fish, chicken, mutton and sausages were served). I chosed sausages.
Tea or coffee alongside with various beverages is served during the flight. I appreciated the work of the cabin crew – all of them look tidy and are very attentive to the passengers.
The toilets are standard and clean, what’s rather important.
The plane descended lower the cloud level and the view of the hills, the Mediterranean Sea and Antalya itself reviled.
Yet in the sky I had an opportunity to enjoy the view of my future accommodation.
Slow descending, a jolt, and we were driving along the runway of the Turkish airport. Someone even began to applaud! A bit later the plane got in the flaps and gradually began to slow down. Ten minutes later we’ve stopped and parked by the terminal. After the full stop of the engines we were allowed to leave the plane.

Antalya Airport is a wonderful one – comfortable, clean, beautiful and up-to-date. By the way, it was considered to be the best airport in the Europe.

In the airport:
Having passed through the passport checkpoint we’ve entered a Duty Free zone. There was a number of small shops in it, just like in Astana. There were the branded clothing stores (Bvlgari, Style Studio, etc.), incredible souvenirs, wonderful cafés, medical service, restaurants, bars, bank services, mother-and-child room, play area. It was very beautiful.
There was free Wi-Fi.
The national Turkish carrier – Turkish Airlines.
The charter airlines from the Russian towns to the resorts - I-FLY.
While our plane has been prepared to the departure we were waiting for the boarding in the lounge.
Just after the boarding we were given travelling rugs, candies, etc.
The instructions have been given, the fixed seat-belts have been checked and we were ready to take off. In half an hour we were hovering over Antalya.
Between the rows of seats there were several displays transmitting the map. From time to time the displays were switched off.

After a tiresome 5-hour flight we’ve at last arrived the Astana International airport.
Our plane has driven to the ramp and all the passengers quickly got out and hurried to receive their luggage.
