Part 1.
The main place of my vacation was the island of Crete. To diversify my vacation, I decided to combine it with other cities and countries.
And now a new flight.
Early in the morning I arrive at Heraklion airport
The airport area is bustling with its own life: tourist buses bring passengers, someone has arrived and is heading to the hotel
I go into a small terminal, its departures area
On the board I find my flight W4 3046. Check-in and baggage drop-off have already begun. I have my boarding pass in my smartphone (online check-in is free, unlike at the counter, where they charge for the service) and I only have a backpack in my hand luggage
There are small retail outlets and cafes for a snack
On the second level there are mainly offices for rent, from an interesting office of a private aviation academy that uses the airport to train its students
There are literally a couple of passengers at the counter, mostly they fly without luggage
I head to the gates, along the way I notice a trace from the past in the form of a Ural Airlines representative office, which is interesting that no one has come to their place and, probably, UA continues to pay rent
Security control has been passed, there are no border guards, and I end up in the “clean” area where, as usual, Duty Free stores are the first to greet
The waiting room is small and crowded
The platform is flooded with the morning sun, in the parking lot at the B738 terminal of the Polish Enter Air.
In general, there are a lot of flights to Crete from Polish cities; from almost every major airport in the country there are regular and charter flights to Crete. As well as from Germany. As I was convinced, Poles and Germans prevail among the island's guests

An inconspicuous staircase leads to the second level, where waiting places are free, there is a cafe and a business lounge of the Greek airline SKY express
On the board I check my gate, it has not changed
The usual rhythm of airport work continues on the platform.

During check-in, the system showed a seat in the middle of the cabin above the wing. I knew that the plane would be A321, i.e. It was quite large, but there were few passengers; they could easily fit into one platform bus. Therefore, I expected that I would sit somewhere more comfortable. I go on board at the farthest along the ladder and take a seat at the window in the rear
So it turned out, the board was half full, the rows of seats were empty

We proceed to the runway
Without stopping at the start, the engines go into takeoff mode and take off, followed by a climb over the city and turning north into the sea

This is the arrival airport itself, this is the main port of Bucharest Otopeni or A. Coanda International Airport. There is another airport in the city - Banyasa, there are very few flights served there
A joint airport, in particular, the aviation unit of the American strategic air tankers KC-135 is based here

I don’t linger here, but follow the signs on the floor to the bus station stop to get to the capital of Romania

Heraklion airport - 4, the terminal is outdated, but it seems to be coping so far and nothing new is in sight
Wizz Air - 5, inexpensive and hassle-free, copes with the function of a carrier
Otopeni airport, arrivals area - 5, everything is clear and fast.
