Reviews & Opinions of Austrian Airlines:

I warn all travelers about the abuse of Austrian Airlines company to its monopoly position in the direction of Kiev-Vienna. Im used to fly to Vienna a lot, due to my business; and more frequent air company monopolist in this direction is Austrian Airlines. However, recently I had bad experience with this airline, which left me with no desire to continue to give them my time and money. Briefly about the situation: I checked in the flight online the day before departure, but that did not stop the representatives of Austrian Airlines to remove me and 9 other passengers from the flight right at the entrance to the plane. The airline didnt explain to passengers the reason of their decision, but I understood that airline was guided by national basis, because all 9 passengers was from Ukraine. After removal, the airline changed the ticket to a late flight, as a result of what I was late for my appointments. Moreover, Im trying to get a justice, an apology and explanation from the airline for 1 year, but still I didnt receive any feedback from them. It is very shortsighted and presumptuous of Austrian Airlines to believe that because of its monopoly position on this direction, they can provide so unprofessional service to their passengers. The big fat minus to Austrian Airlines. If you need to Vienna fly, but just not with them - real advice from real victim.

VIE-PEK return in Business Class on 767. Lounge at Vienna very disappointing, not enough room, and relatively mediocre with no showers (particularly inconvenient as I was transiting to LHR on the return and wanted a shower to freshen up before the short hop). Boarding easy, seats angled lie flat were narrow (2x2x2 in a 767 always is), but quite comfortable and eventually adjustable to a sleepable position after some fidgeting. Service first class, some of the best food in business class - the onboard chef makes a huge difference. So much choice, excellently cooked, range of coffees, drinks, desserts, but quality also impeccable. IFE not AVOD, but choice adequate and worked, but seemed a bit dated. Certainly would fly Austrian long haul business class again, just a shame that Vienna airport while small and easy to transit through (in rapid time) has disappointing lounges.

Dear Austrian Airlines team, I write because I consider it very sad that Austrian Airlines allows to advertise ( Ride a Elephant's advertisind) the animal suffering in exchange for satisfying the egoism of the human being. Please remove immediately this sad publicity with Austrian Airlines that hurts thousands of your clients and punish the person who is create it this sad advertising for incompetent. You teams are very professionals and the company also. You don't deserve such shame. Thank you very much! Mr. Don Veguero de San Luis

I am a travel agent. Two of my clients were scheduled to fly Austrian Airlines from Vienna to Washington on July 31. They arrived at the airport about 2 hours prior to the departure time. There were masses of passengers ahead of them in the line and only a few open check-in desks available. Due to the airlines' understaffing of the check-in desks and the long lines, my clients missed the flight. To make matters worse, Austrian Airlines did not offer to put them on the next available flight (even if it had been the next day). They were told to fend for themselves! They took a train to Munich and boarded another airline, at their own expense. Austrian Airlines should be ashamed of itself for the shabby treatment of paying passengers. The airline refuses to compensate my clients.

I was travelling with two kids (4 years old and a one year old). During my transit, they told me I cannot have the stroller! I said how am I supposed to walk through the airport for 30 minutes (as per their chart) with two kids and our handbags? He said it's not his problem! I asked for those airport carts to take us to our gate, they said they don't offer this service! I asked them to file a formal complaint, he said I should go to the desk blablabla.... which of course I didn't have time or energy to do (with two kids)! I ended up carrying my toddler and our handbags and dragging my elder child behind!!! NEVER flying with them again! Also their website is incompetent! I have been trying to send the complaint through it for ages and it just stops at the step before i press "send"!! worst airport ever!!!
